Anne Escalle, General Manager of Edmond de Rothschild Heritage’s New Zealand operations, blends tradition with innovation in her pursuit of exceptional wines. Raised in France’s Rhône Valley, Anne’s lifelong passion for wine led her to a Master’s in Viticulture and a career spanning continents. Now at the helm of Rimapere in Marlborough and Akarua in Central Otago, Anne champions organic and regenerative practices to express each vineyard’s unique terroir. With a scientist’s curiosity and a deep respect for generational knowledge, she merges old-world philosophies with cutting-edge techniques. For Anne, the pleasure and connection found in every bottle is what makes wine so special — a testament to the care, passion, and teamwork behind each glass.

 

Steph Dutton - Leading Innovation at Penfolds

As Senior Winemaker at Penfolds, Steph Dutton has been a driving force behind one of Australia's most renowned wineries. Since joining Penfolds in 2007, she has played a pivotal role in the blending, development, and evolution of the estate's world-famous wines. 

Working closely with Chief Winemaker Peter Gago, Steph has contributed to some of Penfolds' most celebrated releases, combining heritage and modern innovation. Her deep understanding of vineyard expression and blending techniques ensures that Penfolds continues to produce structured, are-worthy wines that are admired across the globe. A strong advocate for sustainable viticulture and experimentation, Steph's work reinforces Penfolds' reputation as a pioneer in Australian winemaking.
