For the man who likes to take his time:
Fragrant and fresh with oak complexity. Toasted nuts, chocolate, raisin plum fruits, clove spice and a distinctive aniseed lift. Arguably the most refined wine in Penfolds Tawny portfolio, replete with elegance and power. Exhibiting sweet fruitcake flavours, obvious wood aged complexity and concentration. The finish is fresh with a wonderful balance and lingering intensity.
For the sophisticated man:
Château Malmaison 2015 - £30
Exhibiting deep ruby colour with a slight bricking at the rim due to extended barrel maturation. The nose screams Left Bank Bordeaux; cassis, leather, cedar, brambly red fruit and toasted oak with menthol and cigar box. The palate is loaded with warm vintage fruit, supple tannins and great intensity. Drinking beautifully now but will evolve well in a cool cellar.
For the man who is lively and likes it fresh:
Produced in tiny volumes, and barrel aged. This is fabulous multi-layered Marlborough Sauvignon. Definitely not archetypal; but remarkable, nonetheless. Distinct lime and lemon notes, developing with fragrant white flower aromas, gentle oak complexities with a creamy “sur lies” overlay. Elegant texture, rich lemon and grapefruit flavours with a long and refined finish.
For the man who loves to travel:
For more than a century, this Cabernet Sauvignon has defined the unique character of Napa Valley. Deep and intense, this wine reveals the opulent layers of blackberry, juicy plum and mocha. A true expression of Napa Valley Cabernet - close your eyes and you can picture yourself in the sun-drenched Northern California vineyards!
For the man with a sense of adventure:
In the late 1990s, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, true to the pioneering spirit of its founder, Baron Philippe, decided to start making wine in Chile. It was BPdR's sense of adventure and thirst for exploration which took them from their home in Bordeaux to the other side of the world and has resulted in the exquisite wines of Escudo Rojo.
For the man who can't decide:
A fantastic selection of wines from our very own Waddesdon Rothschild Collection range, curated by Waddesdon Wine including a Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot all sourced from the South of France.
