Inky purple hues with hints of garnet. The incredible intensity on the nose boasts notes of rich blueberry juice, coffee, beef stock, blackcurrant, vanilla, cocoa and spice. The palate is full bodied, with deliciously fine tannins and exceptional length on the finish. This is a big, powerful yet refined wine; one of our favourites’ here at Waddesdon. The palate feels compact and the wine has such confidence. After a few hours in a decanter this vintage feels so complete.
