Description:
After a few minutes in the glass the nose opens up to reveal liquorice, violet, fresh tobacco, toast, melted dark chocolate, mocha and toast. There’s great presence and texture to the palate with a core of juicy black fruit loaded with spice. There’s just enough tannin and acidity to support the really generous levels of fruit. This vintage is really fun and approachable now, however it certainly will age for a few years if required. Decant for an hour and enjoy with roast lamb.

Petit Vega from Ribera del Duero is a personal project by Isaac Fernández Montaño, who is one of the most renowned oenologists in Spain. He has been chief oenologist at several excellent wineries in Ribera del Duero gaining recognition as a brilliant producer. Petit Vega utilises Tempranillo grown on limestone soils with an elevation of close to 900m.
